COMEM Acquires Weidmann Technologies Deutschland GmbH

On March 26, 2024, Weidmann Group concluded the sale of Weidmann Technologies Deutschland GmbH (“Optocon”), their Dresden, Germany-based developer and manufacturer of fiber optic temperature measurement systems, to COMEM, Montebello Vicentino, Italy.

We take this opportunity to thank our employees who will be transitioning to COMEM and, in addition, thank our customers for their loyalty and business over the past years.

COMEM, a world leader in the transformer component industry, is committed to expanding its product portfolio. The acquisition of Optocon supports this strategy and will enable their growth and development in new sectors such as microwave and radio frequency systems, semiconductors, electric motor control, and industrial chemistry.
