Lam Trans Project Timeline
In November 2023, Electrical Technology management proposed to the Weidmann board to build a new Lam board factory in Croatia. The current Lam board production site in Ennenda needs to be vacated latest by the end of June 2025, therefore existing equipment must be transferred to Croatia and for this purpose Project LamTrans was initiated.
In Pojatno near Zagreb, close to the existing Weidmann facilities, a land plot of total 22’000 m2 was acquired to accommodate the new factory on a green field.

During February and March 2024, the building concept was developed together with production and logistics experts. On March 18th the steering committee decides for building version of total 7200m2 surface. The planning contains production, warehouse and offices.

Preproduction of additional 1,500 tons LamBord started July 24 to cover planned customer demand during the transition phase. Preproduction is packed in double layer packaging and stored in defined locations.

Architects main design was finished July 24 and project was submitted to local authorities for building permit. The building is designed to meet state of the art levels of sustainable energy management and environmental protection.

Construction on site started with ground preparing works. Beginning of October we obtained official building permit and started to erect the building. Construction makes fast progress as it mainly contains prefabricated elements.
