Metalized screens are used to increase partial discharge inception voltage, to avoid capacitive coupling between high and lower voltage windings and to reduce the capacitive transmission of interference voltage.

Characteristics

Alutherm shields for high temperature applications are made of aluminum foil tapes that are laminated to Nomex® T411.
